Clear records. Clear responsibility.

Clearance Consulting provides food safety compliance support for U.S. importers and international food suppliers. The approach centers on understandable requirements, traceable records and clear responsibilities.

From reviewing existing documentation to defining the next steps, Clearance makes the work easier to follow. Each engagement begins with the situation at hand and a clearly agreed scope.

The work should be understandable, not just assembled.

Food safety documentation connects products, suppliers, evidence and decisions. A useful record makes those connections visible and shows what still needs attention.

That is the practice Clearance is built to deliver. We want clients to understand what is in scope, which information supports the work, and who is responsible for moving it forward.

Support shaped around the actual situation.

For an importer building or reviewing a program, the starting point is the existing product, supplier and documentation picture. For a business responding to an FDA communication, the starting point is the communication itself, the stated dates, and the supporting information available.

We confirm the proposed scope before the engagement begins. FSVP support, PCQI-related work, HACCP advisory and FDA response inquiries are described separately so buyers can see what is relevant to their situation.

Define. Document. Review.

The approach is designed to make the work inspectable by the client, not mysterious.

  • Define

Establish the question, deliverables, required inputs, responsibilities and timing.

  • Document

Organize the agreed work around identifiable sources, assumptions and decisions.

  • Review

Check the record against scope, highlight open issues, and agree the handover or ongoing responsibilities.

How does Clearance help prepare our program for FDA review?

Clearance assesses applicable requirements, reviews the available records and identifies gaps in hazard analysis, supplier verification and supporting documentation. The agreed scope sets out the work, responsibilities and follow-up needed to maintain the program.

The commitment is to a documented, technically grounded process. FDA determines inspection findings and shipment admissibility; Clearance does not guarantee an inspection outcome or shipment clearance.

How are fees and timing agreed?

The proposed scope, fees, required inputs and delivery schedule are documented before work begins. Ongoing support, where offered, is defined separately so both parties understand what is included.

What happens if the work falls outside your scope?

We will explain the limitation before accepting the work. Where appropriate, we can discuss whether another specialist needs to be involved.
